Papa John’s to introduce vegan cheese following petition

Posted on the 18th January 2019

Huge news! Papa John’s Pizza have confirmed that following our joint petition with Vegan Food – UK, they are in the process of introducing vegan cheese to stores nationwide.

We can confirm that Papa John’s Pizza have been in touch with us, and responded to media requests, to say that they are in the process of introducing a vegan cheese alternative for their UK stores! This is such fantastic news and certainly shows that the demand for vegan food is huge, and companies will listen to this demand.

More vegan options on the high street at places like Papa John’s makes veganism more mainstream, therefore more normal, and therefore more accessible to people – which means more people will eat vegan food!

Animal Aid would like to thank everyone who signed and shared the petition, Vegan Food –UK for helping us with this campaign, and of course to Papa John’s for listening to our feedback and making the positive decision to introduce vegan cheese.
